Welcome to the Community of Assumption, Class of 2024!

NOW: You are officially an Assumption Rocket! Here are a few items to check off right away.

  • Tablet PC Training:
    Parent Training: You will be emailed an invitation to a Zoom meeting for a required parent session. Only one parent needs to attend one session and there is no need to register for the Zoom session. You simply need to click the link you are emailed and log in at one of these two times. Mrs. Fieldhouse and Mrs. Schuhmann will take roll online during the sessions.
    Parent Zoom Dates:
    Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m.  – 12:00 p.m.
    Thursday, July 23 from 6:30 p.m.  – 7:30 p.m.

    Student Training: Parents must register their daughters for a time to come pick up their laptops. Here is the link to the Signup Survey for you to choose her time.

  • Purchasing Books for the 2020-2021 School Year:Assumption’s MBS Direct bookstore will open on Monday, July 6. When you log onto MBS Direct with your daughter’s student ID number, it will link to her list of books.  
  • Summer Reading: Check out requirements for your summer reading here.
  • Summer Seminar: Review updated timeline and information here.  Any other questions? Contact Kim Steinke with Assumption’s Guidance Department.
  • Athletic Interest Form: Return the interest form to Angela Passafiume, Athletic Director, Assumption High School, 2170 Tyler Lane, Louisville, KY 40205, or scan and email athletics.
  • Carpool to School: An email invitation and directions regarding Carpool to School were sent to parents of incoming freshmen the week of May 18. If you have any questions please contact Angie Dusch.
  • School Uniforms: Shaheen’s is once again open to the public and is celebrating with a special Uniform Sale through the month of June. You are invited to buy uniforms early and receive 15% off storewide discount. Please check out the Shaheen’s Flier for information about temporary store hours and discount information.
  • P.E. Uniform: Forms are due by July 13, 2020. Download the P.E. Uniform Reservation Form here.
  • Physical Forms & Immunization Certificates: You may view information about the AHS Physical Form, KHSAA Physical Form, and immunization certificates in the June 19th Rocket Report.
  • Check out Assumption Summer Camps: Browse all enrichment and athletic sessions for July. There are camps open to girls and boys in grades K-11.

  • Assumption Admissions Communication Survey: We appreciate your perspective and hope you will take a moment to share your feedback concerning our communication throughout the admissions process.

  • Summer Seminar Update:
    • Student Summer Seminar leaders are reaching out to your daughter via email. Encourage your daughter to check her personal email account regularly. We hope she is able to attend the in-person summer seminar session to meet members of her Assumption family!

In the meantime, here’s what happens after freshman registration:

Judy Fieldhouse and Theresa Schuhmann will take information obtained from placement scores, grade school feedback, and the input you and your daughter provided at registration to create her schedule. This process may take several weeks due to the time and attention given to each individual schedule.

If after leaving registration you and your daughter feel a level or class needs to be changed, please contact your daughter’s dean. We ask that you send an email to:

If you reach out to your daughter’s dean via email, please indicate if you prefer to be contacted by phone instead. Do not be concerned if you do not hear back from Mrs. Fieldhouse or Mrs. Schuhmann immediately. They systematically work through many emails and phone calls and will likely be in touch in the weeks after spring break. Mrs. Fieldhouse and Mrs. Schuhmann are working diligently to take care of the needs of our current students and teachers through this phase of digital learning while continuing to plan ahead for the next academic year and our incoming class.


REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Any members of the Class of 2024 who took the High School Placement Test and were scheduled to attend make-up registration, please check your email for alternate registration information. If you have additional questions or did not receive an email, please contact Kathy Fleischer, Registrar.

In order to secure your enrollment at Assumption High School, it is imperative to follow the registration protocol listed below.  Only those students who register, complete the online registration and tuition selection form, attach a copy of her Social Security card, and pay the $225 nonrefundable freshman registration fee will be guaranteed a place in the Class of 2024.

Prior to registering, parents will need to do the following:

  • Create an new account in PowerSchool using the directions sent to you in your daughter’s acceptance packet.
    • If you currently have a daughter enrolled at Assumption, you may login to your current parent PowerSchool account and attach your incoming freshman’s account. To do this follow these steps:
      • Login to your existing PowerSchool account.
      • Click on the Account Settings tab on the left hand side.
      • Click on the Students tab on the top and then the ADD button on the far right hand side.
      • Add your new student using the information sent in the acceptance packet.
  • Complete the online registration form in PowerSchool.
  • Fill out the tuition selection form and pay the $225 non-refundable registration fee through mySchoolBucks via PowerSchool.

Please note: The tuition selection form may not be submitted without payment. Please see the Registration FAQ’s for additional information.

 Also please provide Assumption with any information that could affect your daughter’s secondary education needs. 

  • Medical information
  • 504/IEP Student Accommodations 
  • Any other other information that will assist Assumption in preparing your daughter’s education.

FINANCIAL AID

Financial aid applications must be completed through an online system, go to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment and complete the online form.

  • The online application and a fee of $25 must be submitted to FACTS by Thursday, February 28, 2020.
  • Applications must be submitted annually. 
  • Limited tuition assistance will be available for applications received after Thursday, February 28, 2020.
  • Please include your 2018 federal income tax return and W-2 forms with the application.
  • Students MUST be registered at Assumption and have paid the registration fee in order for a financial assistance application to be considered.
  • A student’s tuition assistance may be forfeited if they do not maintain academic and behavioral expectations.
  • Letters of determination are mailed to families in May.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Scholarships are made possible by donations to Assumption High School. These scholarships are awarded annually to AHS students for their leadership and exemplary abilities and talents. Click here to view the list of scholarships offered for incoming freshmen. Essays for scholarships are due Wednesday, March 4.
