Coach Stewart was a member of the Xavier University swim team before assuming the head coaching role at Assumption in 2015. He has led the Rockets to 2 State Runner-Up finishes, the first in program history.  He has been named Regional Swim Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year multiple times. In 2021 Coach Stewart was named the NFHS Kentucky Girls Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year.
