Assumption High School’s Rose Theatre Company is open to all students who enjoy drama.

The company produces two shows annually. Students are selected through an audition process that takes place approximately six to ten weeks prior to the production. The company gives students an opportunity to develop their acting talent and/or technical skill through the rehearsal process. Performances give the students an opportunity to share their mastered skill with the community. Assumption students also particpate in the technical compents of a production with student led crews for lighting, sound, costumes, hair and make-up, publicity, set design, props, and more.

The modern Humana Foundation Performing and Fine Arts Center features a 295-seat theatre with a thrust stage and art gallery space.

Rose Theatre Company would like to invite you to attend our fall musical production! A thrilling rock opera based on the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 50 years. RTC will perform this masterpiece with an all-Assumption cast. With Bridget Wolfram as Jesus, Molly Hayes as Judas, Abigail Hughes as Mary Magdalene, and a whole company of Assumption’s talented singers, dancers, and technicians, this is one not to miss. SCHOOL PERFORMANCE FOR SEVENTH & EIGHTH GRADERS

Date: Wednesday, November 6
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (Buses should arrive at 9:30 a.m.)

Performance runtime: 1 hour & 45 minute, including a 15-minute intermission
After the performance, we will offer a brief talkback with the student company.

How to attend: Seating is limited (259 total capacity), and we anticipate a sell-out event! Secure a spot for your students using our interest form* below. We will book school groups on a first-come, first-serve basis using the timestamps of submissions.

*Please note: the form will go live at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17 and remain open through 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22. There will be no reservations or holds. A completed interest form indicates the group’s commitment to attending, (provided spots are still available.)

Schools that book will receive a follow-up email on Wednesday, October 23 with information about drop-off and pick-up, on-site parking if needed, and more!
