distinguishedForging Your Path To Excellence

McAuley Scholars

The McAuley Honors Program of Assumption High School strives to provide academically gifted students with rigorous coursework, recognition, support, and learning opportunities outside the scope of the traditional college preparatory high school curriculum.

With the school’s commitment to individualized and personalized courses of study, teachers recognize the individual needs of the gifted student and strive to expose them to a variety of learning experiences that stimulate challenging, higher-order critical and creative thinking.

Expectations

Students are recognized as McAuley Scholars if they enroll in all advanced-level classes, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, and complete a minimum of four AP courses while at Assumption. They receive academic advising from a designated administrator or advisor, may elect to complete the AP Capstone Diploma program, gain additional opportunities for standardized testing preparation and experience, and learn about opportunities and resources for academically gifted students.
