Assumption Hires Ian Husk as Information Technology Director

Assumption High School is excited to announce that we have hired Ian Husk as our Information Technology Director. Ian has served as Assistant Technology Director at Assumption since August 2002. In his nearly 20 years at Assumption, he has been vital in the development and implementation of our one-to-one Tablet PC program and has imaged over 10,000 Tablet PCs for our faculty, staff, and students, making it possible for our community to use the most up-to-date technology available each school year. Ian has also played a crucial role in planning and executing the many aspects of installation and activation of connectivity, communication, security, and access points in the new expansion.
Previously, he served in a technology and audiovisual position at a school in London. His technology experience is wide-ranging, spanning system administration to the deployment and management of real and virtual servers and devices.
As he moves into his new role, Ian notes, “While technology has become an integral part of the Assumption student experience, it is my goal to make sure the user experience is so seamless that the technology fades away into the background and the student’s education becomes even more the star of the show.”
We are thrilled to have Ian lead us into the future and look forward to seeing the many innovative ways in which he will keep us on the bleeding edge of technology!
