Thank you for signing your daughter up for the High School Placement Test at Assumption High School. In doing so, you have taken the first step in registering her as a Rocket for next school year! 

Here are some helpful reminders for Saturday:

  • Eighth graders do not need to bring anything! We will provide pencils. Calculators are not allowed. Your daughter may bring a translucent water bottle for the testing room.
  • We will offer a variety of snacks and water during a break in testing.
  • Dress is casual. She may wear comfortable clothing including leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, and sweatshirts.
  • Encourage your daughter to get a good night’s sleep before the test and to eat a nutritious breakfast. 
  • The campus store will be open for shopping from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. You may also shop online here! 

DIRECTIONS FOR DROP-OFF

  • We encourage your daughter to arrive at the Main Entrance between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m.
  • For drop-off, please enter the carpool lane from Bardstown Road and pull all the way around campus to the Main Entrance. See the below image for directions.
  • You may drop off your daughter at the Main Entrance and exit campus using Tyler Lane.
  • Assumption students and staff will be ready to welcome her home and get her settled for testing.

PARENT SESSION

We invite parents to come into the gym at 11:30 a.m. for light refreshments, a short presentation about what comes next, the opportunity to meet our administration and current parents, and to celebrate your daughter as she finishes her placement test and receives her official Class of 2030 sweatshirt. You may enter through the main entrance as indicated by the star on the map below. Assumption students will be ready to direct you once you arrive. Your daughter should complete testing approximately 12:00 – 12:30 p.m.

STUDENTS TAKING HSPT WITH EXTENDED TIME

We invite parents whose daughters are taking the test with extended time to return to Assumption’s main entrance at 12:20 p.m. for light refreshments, a short presentation about what comes next, the opportunity to meet our administration, learning differences coordinator, and current parents, and to celebrate your daughter as she finishes her placement test. You may enter at the Main Entrance and parking is indicated on the map below. Assumption students will be ready to direct you to the cafeteria once you arrive. Your daughter should complete testing approximately 12:45 – 1:30 p.m. depending on her testing pace.
