For Students in Grades 8–12

Empower students in grades 8–12 with the confidence and skills to respond in real emergencies through our First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification Course. This engaging, one day, hands‑on training is hosted by Assumption High School and is led by Assumption HS health and PE teachers.  This certification course teaches lifesaving techniques students can use at school, sports, work, or home, while earning an official Red Cross certification valued by employers, colleges, and volunteer programs.  No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn, lead, and be prepared to make a difference when it matters most. 

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Adult & Pediatric CPR
  • How to Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Essential First Aid Skills
    • Treating common injuries and emergencies
  • Staying calm and confident in high-pressure situations

CERTIFICATION INCLUDED

Students who successfully complete the course will receive an official First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Red Cross recognized Nationwide which is a great addition to:

  • Job applications
  • Job readiness (Babysitting, lifeguard, camp counselors, healthcare career pathways, youth coaches).
  • College and scholarship résumés
  • Volunteer opportunities
