Senior exams will take place in the Media Center.  The seniors only need to be present for those exams that they are required to take. Seniors need to be on time for exams as those arriving late will have only the time remaining in the exam period to take the exam. The exam schedule is:

Monday, May 16 – in the Media Center

  • H block – 8:15-9:35 a.m.
  • G block – 9:45-11:00 a.m.
  • F block – 12:20-1:35 p.m.
  • E block – 1:45-3:00 p.m. 

Tuesday, May 17in the Media Center

  • D block – 8:15-9:35 a.m.
  • C block – 9:45-11:00 a.m.
  • B block – 12:20-1:35 p.m.
  • A block – 1:45-3:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 18 – Make-Up Exams

  • 12:30 p.m. (A valid doctor’s note MUST be provided for a student to take any missed exam for full credit.)

The following events are MANDATORY for your daughter to attend:

Wednesday, May 18, and Friday, May 20 

Graduation practices for seniors are mandatory.  Please encourage your daughters to arrive on time.  We want to ensure a ceremony worthy of their accomplishments and prompt attendance at practice is essential.  Caps, gowns, and stoles will be distributed at the practices.

  • Wednesday, May 18 – 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Assumption gym
  • Friday, May 209:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  –  Bellarmine University Knights Hall

Wednesday, May 18 – 6:30 p.m. – Assumption Gym

The honors ceremony for seniors will take place on Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Assumption gym.  Seniors need to arrive at 6:00 p.m. and go directly to the cafeteria.  Seniors are to wear white dresses, white shoes, and gowns with stoles (but not caps) with any honor society cords. Traditionally, immediate family and some grandparents attend this ceremony. 

  • HONORS:  Seniors are honored for accomplishments that they have received throughout the year as well as academic department awards and some special awards that are a surprise.  All seniors are expected to attend the ceremony for possible individual recognition but, more importantly, to celebrate the accomplishments of the entire class together.  At the Senior Honors Ceremony, programs are handed out to parents and guests right before the ceremony begins.  Please help us keep the surprise of the academic department awards and special awards presented by not sharing this information with any senior daughter prior to the ceremony. 
  • SCHOLARSHIP RECOGNITION:  Seniors are recognized for their scholarship offers and acceptance to colleges and special programs, such as Honors Programs or Honors Colleges, based on documentation they have provided to us prior to April 22 in the form of institution emails and letters.  Please note that we need all offers of admission, special programs, and scholarship offers regardless of whether the student is planning to enroll or accept the offer.  Please be sure to have your daughter submit all scholarship offers to the guidance office by April 22 in order to be printed in the Senior Honors Ceremony booklet.  

Thursday, May 19 – 6:30 p.m. – St. Michael Catholic Church

The final Mass for our seniors will take place on Thursday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church located at 3705 Stone Lakes Drive.  Seniors need to arrive at St. Michael by 6:00 p.m. to line up for the processional. Seniors wear white dresses, white shoes, and gowns with stoles (but not caps) to Baccalaureate Mass. Seniors are encouraged to wear their retreat pin on their stole.

Saturday, May 21 – 11:00 a.m. – Bellarmine University

The Class of 2022 graduation will take place on Saturday, May 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellarmine University’s Knights Hall located at 2001 Newburg Road. This venue will accommodate eight (8) guests per graduate. Seniors should be at Knights Hall no later than 10:15 a.m. to begin lining up.  Please keep in mind that regardless of time of arrival, the doors to Knights Hall will not open until 10:00 a.m. 

  • ANNOUNCEMENTS: The announcements from Balfour will be distributed to the seniors at school by Friday, April 22. The announcement does not serve as a ticket. 
  • TICKETS: Each senior will receive eight (8) tickets for guests the week of April 18.  If a senior does not need all of the tickets allotted to her, then she should return them to Amy Schelb, receptionist in the main office.  These tickets will then be available for distribution to those who require additional tickets for graduation.
  • GRADUATES: Seniors are to wear white dresses, white shoes, gowns with stoles, and caps with tassels to graduation.  There is no dressing area at Bellarmine.  Seniors should arrive fully dressed with no purse, keys, phones, or tickets in hand.  Graduation tickets must be distributed to family and friends prior to graduation.  Seniors should not be expected to meet up with family members prior to the ceremony.  Parents and daughters are encouraged to ride to graduation together due to limited parking. 
  • GUESTS: Guests must have a ticket to attend graduation. Guests should arrive to graduation with tickets in hand no earlier than 10:00 a.m. Seniors cannot be responsible for distribution of tickets the day of graduation. 
  • GUESTS NEEDING SPECIAL SEATING ACCOMMODATIONS:  For guests who need special seating accommodations, please contact AMY SCHELB  at 271-2506 by Wednesday, May 18. 
  • PICTURES: A formal picture will be taken of each senior with her diploma and a rose by BIG Photo.  Pictures will be able to be viewed and purchased at shop.studioillumination.com. Packages start as low as $22 and will be mailed home directly. A QR code information card will be available at the graduation event in the lobby of Knights Hall at Bellarmine.   • LIVE-STREAM: Graduation will be livestreamed.  The livestream will be available at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 21.

Thursday, April 28 – 7:00 p.m. – St. Xavier High School

The fifteenth anniversary of the Pink and White Game will be held at St. Xavier High School on Thursday, April 28, at 7:00 p.m. Opening ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m.  Students may purchase tickets during lunches in the cafeteria the week of the game.   Tickets will NOT be sold at the gate. 

Friday, April 29 – 8:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Assumption High School

On Friday, April 29, the Class of 2022 will participate in Senior Celebration Day.  Seniors will report to school by 8:15 a.m. as usual but may wear shorts and Senior Celebration Day team t-shirts.  The senior class will spend the day participating in a mind, body, and spirit activities, which will culminate with a class cookout in the courtyard. Seniors will be dismissed by 1:00 p.m. 

Friday, May 13 – 6:30 p.m. – Crowne Plaza Hotel

There will be no school for seniors on Friday, May 13, as this is their senior prom holiday. The Senior Prom will be held at The Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 830 Phillips Lane (by the airport). Prom starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes dinner, which will be served promptly at 7:00 p.m.  The seniors and their guests need to arrive at The Crowne Plaza between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Students arriving after 7:15 p.m. will not be admitted to the dance unless they have made prior arrangements with Mrs. Baughman, our dean of students. Prom ends at midnight; the girls and their guests are required to stay until at least 11:00 p.m. They do need to make arrangements for their chosen modes of transportation to pick them up no later than midnight. There is no ticket given out for prom prior to the event.  When the seniors arrive at prom, they will sign in with their homeroom teachers and find out their table number for dinner.  A photo booth will be provided free of charge for prom pictures.  Dress is formal.  Assumption does not sponsor any post-prom activities.
