DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS – Wednesday, October 28, 2020
No Sweatshirts or Non-Uniform Sweatshirts
Ladies, as the weather gets colder, please remember that you may NEVER wear sweatpants under your uniform skirts at school. Seniors, this also means that you may NOT wear sweatpants when eating outside. If you are worried about being cold, you should wear tights or leggings (or uniform pants). When the faculty and staff agreed to allow students to wear leggings this year, the agreement included never giving students permission to wear sweatpants, even in areas that are uncomfortably cold at times. Also, since seniors can wear senior sweatshirts and all students can wear a quarter-zip uniform sweatshirt, there should be no need for a student to wear a non-AHS sweatshirt with her uniform. Please consult the student/parent handbook for all the details about wearing tights and leggings and sweatshirts.
Detention on Thursday this week (no detention today)
We hope you don’t need to know this, but just in case you do…detention will be held on THURSDAY this week and not on Wednesday. That’s right…no detention will be held today! If you have a detention to serve, please check your email for a message from Mrs. Baughman to get the details.
PSAT Reminders
Students who will be in the bulding for the PSAT tomorrow: Please remember to stagger your arrival so that you will be able to make it to your testing room by 8:30. You will want to get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, bring your calculator and your favorite #2 pencil and wear your uniform. You will be dismissed at noon.
