Dance Coach Jessica Curstinger Named Dance Coach of the Year

Congratulations to our dance team head coach, Jessica Gardner Curtsinger ’05, on being named Dance Coach of the Year for the 2018-2019 season! Under Jessica, the dance team was named the Region Champions in Large Jazz, 3rd in Large Hip Hop. State Champions in Large Jazz, State Runner Up in Large Hip Hop. Nationals Runner Up in Medium Jazz and 3rd in Medium Hip Hop.

Jessica began coaching at Assumption in 2007, being named head coach in 2017. As an Assumption Dancer herself, she danced all four years and won two national titles in 2003 and 2005. She has taught jazz technique, ballet, and contemporary classes for 17 years. She is also a National Champion choreographer and has taken two teams to the world finals.
