Michelle Farmer, Executive Director of Advancement
We are looking forward to celebrating our 45th Annual Rocket Spectacular Benefit Dinner & Auction on Saturday, February 7, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. here at Assumption. Don’t forget to secure your spot – reservations will close this Sunday, February 1 at 8 p.m. All proceeds from the event benefit the financial needs of our students. Currently, nearly one-third of our students receive some form of financial assistance to attend Assumption, making your support more vital than ever.
How You Can Participate
This is our largest community fundraiser of the year, and we are so grateful to our dedicated Assumption Parent Organization who have worked for months on planning and the many community supporters who have donated items in support of our students.
You can still support our students and be a part of the excitement! Visit our Rocket Spectacular page to:
- Bid on exclusive silent auction items (starting on February 1!)
- Purchase raffle tickets
- Make a direct donation
- Join the auction Here: 👉 https://one.bidpal.net/rs26
Ahead of the event, we would like to recognize and give a special THANK YOU to all of our sponsors. Their commitment and dedication to Assumption ensures the success of this year’s Rocket Spectacular.

With Grateful Hearts: Honoring Our Parents & Guardians
As we continue our celebration of Catholic Schools Week, today we paused with grateful hearts to honor our parents and guardians. Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and the many sacrifices you make in nurturing your daughters during these formative years of their lives. At Assumption, we are truly blessed to walk alongside you as we educate and form your daughters, academically, spiritually, and personally, in a faith‑filled community rooted in love and purpose.
While today’s frigid temperatures kept us from greeting you in the carpool line as we have in years past, please know that our gratitude for you is as warm and steadfast as ever. We hold you close in prayer and thanksgiving, recognizing the unconditional love, quiet sacrifices, encouragement, and support you so generously give each day. Together, we remain committed to fostering a welcoming, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every student can grow and thrive, supported by the strong partnership of home and school.

FATHER-DAUGHTER DANCE: The Father-Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 7:30-10:30 p.m. in the gym. This dance is open to ALL students— freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. We encourage all to attend and dance the night away with their fathers or father figures! Tickets may be purchased in advance via GoFan or at the door the night of the dance. Tickets are $25 per couple and $10 for each additional daughter. The dance theme is “Great Gatsby Masquerade,” and guests are invited to dress for the theme, but of course, themed attire is not required. Music will be provided by Assumption’s very own DJ, Jared Ramirez. Hope to see you there!
FUND (TUES)DAY FOR KAITLYN CLEMENTS: All are invited to a fundraising event at O’Shea’s Irish Pub in the Highlands (956 Baxter Ave) for sophomore Kaitlyn Clements, who is currently undergoing treatment for leukemia. On Tuesday, February 3 from 5:00-10:00 p.m., a portion of the proceeds from meals will benefit Kaitlyn and her family. Please continue to keep Kaitlyn and her family in your prayers.
12:30 DISMISSAL NEXT FRIDAY: We will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, to allow for the setup of Rocket Spectacular. After-school supervision will not be provided, so please make arrangements for your daughter to be picked up by 12:45 p.m.

ASSUMPTION PARENT PRAYER: Our parent prayer group will meet on Wednesday, February 4 from 8:15-8:45 a.m. in the chapel. Please park in any open space and enter the school through the main entrance. We will pray for the Tullamore juniors and seniors. Please join us for any or all of these opportunities!
PRAYER INTENTIONS: All Assumption parents and alumnae are invited to share prayer intentions. Periodically, we will include the line of “prayer intentions posted online by AHS parents and alumnae” as part of our morning prayer over the P.A. Likewise, feel free to include the intentions you find there in your own personal prayer. To participate, please follow this link.

RE-ENROLLMENT PROCESS FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR: An email was sent this week to all freshman, sophomore, and junior parents/guardians regarding re-enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year. Here’s how to re-enroll:

If you prefer to pay by check or cash, you can drop off your payment (Attention: Finance Dept) in an envelope at the main office anytime Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. by the due date. In order for your daughter to be able to choose her courses for next semester or to be considered for financial assistance or scholarships, the re-enrollment process, including payment of the fee, must be completed by Friday, February 13, 2026.
If the process is not completed by this date, we will assume your daughter will not be returning to Assumption High School. If your plans have changed and your daughter will not be attending next year, kindly let our Registrar, Jenny Friedenberg, know at jenny.friedenberg@ahsrockets.org. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Finance Department at financedept@ahsrockets.org or call Shanna Selby at 271-2520 for assistance.
ROCKET PARENT NETWORK (RPN) UPDATE: SAVE THE DATE. The Rocket Parent Network invites you to “save the date” for their next speaker program on February 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the AHS cafeteria. Their presentation will focus on helping you and your daughters with personal finance advice for teens. We hope that students and parents will attend together to spark conversation about good financial decisions to make as a teen. Our speakers will be LeeAnn and John Cunningham. Lee Ann is a 2016 AHS alum, and she and her father work for The Cunningham King Wealth Management Group: UBS Financial Services Inc. This program will also be offered both online and in person with a link coming to the Rocket Report in the next few weeks.

MISSION WEEK: Mission Week is Monday, February 23 – Thursday, February 26. We will begin school each morning one hour later at 9:10 a.m. and dismiss each day at 3:00 p.m. We believe that Mission Week activities are so important that we suspend classes for the week; all students are required to attend and participate in the activities scheduled, both on and off campus. All attendance policies apply during Mission Week–if your daughter is ill and unable to participate on a given day, please call the attendance office as usual. If at all possible, please do not schedule medical appointments for your daughter on days when she will be participating in activities off campus. During Mission Week, before-school supervision will be provided in the cafeteria as usual beginning at 7:15 a.m. each day. After-school supervision will also be provided each day in the cafeteria until 4:30 p.m. as usual. There is no school on Friday, February 27. More details about Mission Week were sent in a Special Message from the Principal email on Thursday, January 29, and can also be accessed through this link: SPECIAL MESSAGE – MISSION WEEK 2026

MISSION WEEK PERMISSION FORMS FOR SENIORS: This week, seniors were asked to complete a detailed permission form for Mission Week activities which will require your electronic signature at the end of the form. Please ask your daughter about this if she does not mention it to you. Senior permission forms are due on Thursday, February 12 by 3:00 p.m., and senior service hours need to be submitted to MobileServe by Tuesday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m.
SENIOR YEARBOOK TRIBUTES: Over the years, senior parents have developed a tradition of supporting certain activities important to their graduating daughters at Assumption. One of these is helping to underwrite the cost of printing the yearbook by purchasing “Senior Tributes” that contain a message of congratulations and your favorite photos of your graduate. “Senior Tributes” can be a great way to document and celebrate your daughter’s time as an Assumption Rocket. If you are interested in purchasing a “Senior Tribute”, you will find size, pricing information, instructions, and a contract here: 2026 Senior Ad Letter and Contract. The deadline to submit tribute contracts is Friday, February 20. The deadline for ad materials (message and pictures) is Monday, March 2. Please feel free to reach out to Melissa Fette, yearbook adviser, at melissa.fette@ahsrockets.org with any questions. Thank you for your support of the Assumption Rosecast!
