Today we are sending out a special “early” edition of the Rocket Report. The Rocket Report is sent each Friday afternoon during the school year with the exception of those Fridays which are school holidays. This is our primary method of regular communication with our families, and we hope this weekly report keeps everyone informed of important information. Please check your email each Friday and let us know if your email address changes so that we have accurate contact information. In case you miss it or want to look back at a previous issue, the Rocket Report is always available on our website, www.ahsrockets.org, under the parent link. Additionally, the link to the detailed Summer Back to School email that was sent at the end of July is available for your reference here: Back to School Information Page. The administration, faculty, and staff are excited to begin another new year with you!

CARPOOL & TRAFFIC FLOW REMINDERS: Please be sure to review this link for detailed information about the proper way to drop off/pick up your daughter to and from school: CARPOOL AND TRAFFIC FLOW INFORMATION & MAP: If everyone follows the rules, everything runs much more smoothly! Important Note: the paved shoulder along Bardstown Road in front of Assumption is used as a turning lane/waiting area for vehicles prior to entering the carpool lane on campus. Those queueing on the shoulder must be sure not to block the Bardstown Road/Tyler Lane intersection.
PARENTS OF SENIORS AND JUNIORS WHO WILL BE DRIVING TO SCHOOL: Please make sure your daughter reviews the specific directions about how to access her on-campus parking spot provided with her parking tag. In order to alleviate traffic congestion on Bardstown Road, students who park on the main campus may not enter from Bardstown Road in the morning. All student drivers will enter from Tyler Lane by following their specific directions, even those who are parking in the St. Raphael lot.
POWERSCHOOL INSTRUCTIONS: PowerSchool is our first line of communication to students and parents/guardians regarding grades, course registration, and attendance records. Please review this link with the directions on how to access PowerSchool and make sure you know your username and password prior to the start of the year: POWERSCHOOL INSTRUCTIONS. Your daughter’s current personal information and contact information is listed here as well. We ask you to review it and make any necessary corrections no later than August 14. You are also asked to review the STUDENT-PARENT HANDBOOK 2024-2025 with your daughter and to select the drop-down box verifying that you have reviewed the handbook as part of the legal agreement between you and Assumption High School. Note: Please be sure to review our new attendance policy.
- School Messenger: Please note: The originally scheduled text for Thursday, August 1 did not go out. A text to all parents on Tuesday, August 6 will go out which will give you the ability to “opt in” to receive mass texts and phone calls.
STUDENT HEALTH FORMS: AHS physical forms for freshmen and transfers as well as current immunization forms aredue before the first day of school. Kentucky state law (KRS 158.035, KRS 214.0, and KAR 2:060) states that students with expired or no immunization certificates will not be allowed to attend class. The original certificate of immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, rubella, hepatitis A, and meningitis must be submitted by every student and kept on file by the school. This link provides access to the AHS physical form for freshmen and transfers as well as the KHSAA physical form for all student-athletes: STUDENT HEALTH FORMS
