CALENDAR NOTE:
- CHRISTMAS BREAK: Assumption will be closed for Christmas Break from December 23 – January 3. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6.
CAMPUS MINISTRY:
- PARENT PRAYER: Parent Prayer will resume its weekly schedule on Tuesday, January 7, at 8:00 a.m. in the chapel at St. Catherine’s Convent across Tyler Lane from AHS. All are welcome!
SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULES: Hard copies of the second semester schedules will be given to students during homeroom on Monday, January 6. Students will have homeroom scheduled first on this day. Students will need to report to homeroom FIRST when they return to school. Students have already had the opportunity to meet with their deans with any scheduling questions. Drop/Add for second semester elective courses ends on Thursday, January 16. Any elective schedule change request must be accompanied by a note from a parent and $20 schedule change fee.
SECOND SEMESTER BOOKS: Christmas break is a good time to check and make sure students have all of their second semester books. Please go towww.mbsdirect.netto review this list.
FIRST SEMESTER GRADE REPORTS: First semester grade reports will be emailed to parents on Monday, January 6.
UNIFORM UPKEEP: We have asked the girls to take care of any uniform issues over Christmas break. Skirts have started to get shorter, buttons are missing, and hems are falling. Please assist your daughter in evaluating her current uniform status and take care of any uniform upkeep so that we can start off second semester as well as we did first semester. We sincerely appreciate your help and cooperation!
NO EXTRA DECALS ON TABLET PCS: Students were reminded of our policy this week with this announcement: Students, please take some time over the Christmas holidays to remove any decals you have placed on the tablet PC that AHS is providing to you. The only decals that should be on the computer are the ones the IT Department put there for identification purposes. We want the appearance of this educational tool to reflect that you respect school property and treat it properly. As stated in the 2019-2020 Student Handbook, “A student who defaces her computer by affixing stickers, writing on it, etching into it, etc. will face disciplinary consequences.” We plan to check computers after our break and will be enforcing this policy. Thank you in advance for taking care of this matter.
FINANCIAL AID FORM: The financial aid link for 2020-2021 has been added to the school’s website. The due date is February 28, 2020, and the form must be submitted online to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment. FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION LINK
MESSAGE FROM FLIK: Happy Holidays from FLIK!If your daughter is interested in the meal plan for second semester, the cost is $470.00. Payment is due by January 6, 2020. The meal plan consists of an entree and three side items of her choice each school day at lunch. Rocket Spectacular Benefit Dinner and Auction 2020 “ROARING TWENTIES”.
- RESERVATIONS – It’s not too early to start making plans to attend this year’s Rocket Spectacular Benefit Dinner and Auction. You’ll enjoy a great gourmet dinner catered by the Bristol, live and silent auctions, and games of chance. In addition, you’ll witness the drawing of the Rocket Raffle. HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST MAKE-UP DATE: The make-up High School Placement Test (HSPT) for students who were unable to make the December 14 testing is Saturday, January 11, at 9:00 a.m. at Assumption. Eighth-grade students should enter through the Tyler Lane doors.
