Walking alongside each other for a great cause
The annual Walk for Assumption takes place in the fall semester every year. Students work hard to sell Rocket Raffle tickets, with proceeds directly benefitting the needs of our community and students.
A Beloved Tradition
The festive Walk day begins with a Kick-Off, planned by our Family Council President, student members, and faculty/staff advisors. It includes minigames and a friendly competition: the Family Fashion Show. Each family selects one student from each grade to represent them and strut their walk outfit down a runway. Whoever the crowd cheers the loudest for is deemed the winner, which gets everyone excited for the best part of the day: the Walk!
For a Good Cause
Leading up to the walk, students sell Rocket Raffle tickets, with all proceeds benefitting the needs of the Assumption community. Each ticket that is sold raises funds to help the financial needs of our students, make an Assumption education possible for Future Rockets, and contribute to initiatives that better our community.
The Rocket Raffle
Rocket Raffle tickets are sold for $25.00 per chance. The winner will receive $20,000 and will be announced during the Rocket Spectacular. The Walk for Assumption is a great way for students to come together to show support and build our community. Plus, selling tickets comes with fun incentives like an extra day of Spring Break, prime parking spots, wearing costumes to school for Halloween, and so much more. Consider supporting a student you know by purchasing a ticket from them!
