Assumption High School’s Rose Theatre Presents Spoon River Project

Spoon River Project

Spoon River Project tells the story of a small town through a series of monologues delivered by deceased town members coming back from the dead to share their stories. The play, set in a fictional graveyard in the town of Spoon River, was able to be rehearsed remotely for much of the process.

We are pleased to announce that our production will take place at Historic Farmington’s Brand Pavilion, just down the road from Assumption! Tickets are available through Showtix4u and go on sale October 16!

Regular performances will use reserved seating. Please make every effort to purchase seats in groupings which reflect the number of people in your party.

Approximate run-time is 90 minutes. There will be no intermission and no concessions, however patrons will have the opportunity to purchase candy-grams which will be delivered to the company members after the show. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before curtain in order to allow ample time to reach your seat. Please be advised that while the event is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., we may hold the curtain for a short period of time in order to accommodate safety procedures related to COVID-19, weather, and lighting. The play will begin at dusk. Keep in mind that this is an outdoor event. While there will be patio heaters on site, it is still advised that you dress for the weather. Feel free to bring a lap blanket or coat for your own comfort!

Accommodations can be made for handicapped accessibility, including wheelchairs. Please contact Colleen Murphy at colleen.murphy@ahsrockets.org for further details.

Inclement weather policy: In case of rain, we will perform under the pavilion. If extreme weather circumstances arise resulting in cancellation, Colleen Murphy will contact you with alternative options, including digital access or a credit toward a future production.

Digital Access

Digital access allows anyone to view a videotaped version of our production. The $10 ticket price covers one device and provides access for an entire household. The link is provided by Broadway on Demand and will be available for 24 hours on Friday, November 13th. Similar to a movie rental, you will have 48 hours to watch the show. Contact Colleen Murphy at colleen.murphy@ahsrockets.org if you have any questions or need additional information. This is a great option for anyone who is home bound or too far away to see the play in person!
