Assumption is a one-to-one Tablet PC school. The following resources will be available for the incoming class of 2021
  • A Tablet PC for each student and teacher to use at school and at home. This PC comes with:
Software as required for each student’s classes if a class requirement, including:
Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
Subject specific software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. )
Virus Protection
Microphone and speakers
  • Free onsite support by our HP certified technology staff
  • Loaner Tablet PCs to replace those being repaired
  • Wireless networking available in every classroom and learning space
  • School email accounts for each student
  • A One Drive site for students which will allow students to access their files at home and school to collaborate on project with other students and submit classwork to teachers without paper
  • A cloud-based web filter to protect students from inappropriate online material at home and school
  • Digital projectors in all 52 classrooms
  • SMART Boards in most classrooms
  • Four full-time technology support staff members
  • Two teachers dedicated to curriculum technology integration


In order to engage students in sensory learning more effectively, Assumption High School is researching educational best practices for integrating technology into the curriculum. Assumption adopted block scheduling in 1996, in part to extend class time and thereby increase hands-on, project-based learning. 

The Technology Integration Committee discusses issues and make suggestions for effective technology use in classrooms and offices.
