Every computer on the Assumption campus network, on Tyler Lane and at our Athletic Facilities on Champion's Trace, is connected through a Cisco infrastructure with a fiber optic backbone and a fiber optic high speed connection to the Internet. With the full implementation of our 1:1 program, each student has access to the Internet and online storage. We provide wireless access from any room in the school.
World languages classes use our Sony language learning software to practice speaking and listening. Students have access to attach external monitors for graphic design and AP computer classes. Our journalism students design and publish our yearbook and our school newspaper from their Tablet PCs.
Every classroom is equipped with a ceiling-mounted data projector or a large screen television monitor. Some monitors are touch sensitive and interactive. Twenty-four rooms have SMART Boards.
Assumption's Information Technology Department uses Microsoft SCCM software to remotely manage, deploy, install, and maintain our operating systems, programs, and patches on all of our computers. Our educational Microsoft Licensing allows us to install the latest editions of Microsoft products, which include Microsoft Office 365 Pro (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, OneNote and Infopath) on every computer. Our students and teachers have Office 365 accounts with email and a full terabyte of storage space per user in the cloud.
