Emma Bartley has been recently recognized for her perfect score on her ACT. Emma is a McAuley Scholar, received the George Washington University Book Award, on the Principal’s List, and is an AP Scholar with Distinction. She was named the junior class Model of Mercy in 2017 and received the National Catholic Education Association Youth Virtues, Vision, and Valor Award for developing Compassion Connections, a school-wide initiative designed to connect Assumption students with local service agencies. She has also developed P.A.V.E. the Way (www.she-is-fierce.org/pave), which is a program in which AHS students mentor refugee teens through the college application process.  In her spare time, she posts on the website www.she-is-fierce.org, which she created herself. In addition to her recognition by the National Merit Corp., Lydia is in the top 5% of her senior class at Assumption.
