We encourage you to find your way to your daughter’s future by having her spend a day with an AHS student. She will be greeted by her hostess, attend classes, meet students and teachers, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and experience life at Assumption firsthand.

DIVE DEEPER with special shadow days.

Assumption offers special shadow days for Future Rockets to explore what they care most about. These opportunities perfectly balance a traditional shadow day with specialized experiences pertaining to your unique interests and goals for high school.

Tours

EXPLORE ASSUMPTION WITH FELLOW FUTURE ROCKET FAMILIES.

Walk and Talk Tours give prospective parents and families the opportunity to tour Assumption alongside current students, while getting an inside look at the campus during the school day.

Additionally, parents and families will meet with members of Admissions and Administration to discuss the academic placement process, our rigorous curriculum, and the overall Assumption experience. There is also time for parents and families to ask any questions they may have. The walk and talk experience lasts about 90 minutes.

Open House

November 7, 2026 | Arrivals from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

We invite sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students and their families to the Assumption Open House on Saturday, November 9 to meet teachers, students, and other Future Rockets as you learn more about the Community of Assumption. This event provides your family the opportunity to tour our campus, learn more about academics, clubs, athletics, and campus ministry, as well as hear from students and teachers.

WHAT TO EXpECT AT OPEN HOUSE:

Hear from students about their experience at Assumption.
Take a self-guided or student-led tour of our campus, including our campus expansion with our beautiful new chapel, cafeteria, main office, Atrium, and additional classrooms!
See a live theater performance from the Rose Theatre Company.
Talk with athletic coaches and athletes to learn more about Assumption Athletics.
Learn more about our AP Capstone Diploma Program, Learning Support Center, Guidance & College Counseling Center, Achievement Center, and more!
Meet parents from the Assumption Parent Organization.

We can’t wait to have you visit with us! Get ready to envision your future at Assumption High School and see all the ways you will excel as a Rocket. Arrival time sign ups will be available in October 2026.

High School Placement Test

Saturday, December 12 at 9:00 a.m.

Although the High School Placement Test is offered at other area Catholic high schools, taking it at Assumption is an important first step in becoming a member of Assumption’s Class of 2031.

The placement test helps Catholic secondary schools determine the most appropriate course work and academic path for meeting the needs of individual students. The placement test is only one of several tools used for academic placement at Assumption. Academic placement is an ongoing process, but this is a helpful first step. The test is free of charge. Calculators are not allowed. Get a good night’s sleep before the test and to eat a nutritious breakfast. Be sure to bring a water bottle!

Registration will be available in Fall 2026.

Future Rocket Events

Volleyball Rocket Night

Thursday, September 10 | Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Varsity game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Cheer on Varsity volleyball as they take on St. Thomas Aquinas from Florida in the AHS gym. Arrive early through Assumption’s Main Entrance starting at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy pre-game activities and prep for the game. Future Rockets and alumnae receive a free limited edition t-shirt while supplies last.

Free admission for all! No registration required for this event.

Athletics Meet & Greet

Monday, September 21 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Learn about Rocket Athletics and our championship culture. Lisa Pinkston, Athletic Director, will begin the event with a short presentation followed by the opportunity to speak with Assumption coaches and players. This event is open to parents and their seventh, eighth, or ninth grade students.

Excellence Empowers Night

Tuesday, September 29 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Join us for an inspiring evening designed especially for parents, where members of Assumption’s all-female leadership team will share exciting innovations in education. Discover how our renewed focus on student learning and whole person development empowers each student to find her excellence.

Learn about our new schedule and how our educators collaborate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to shift the focus from teaching to learning, ensuring every student is supported, challenged, and celebrated. We’ll also highlight how the new schedule creates intentional space for students to engage in vital aspects of our second curriculum, through leadership development, service, spiritual growth, and other formative experiences that shape character and confidence.

Flag Football Rocket Night

Thursday, October 6 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Future Rockets will have the opportunity to get on the field, interact with the players, and run some drills with the Rocket Flag Football team. This event is open to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Future Rockets.

Uniquely YOU!

Wednesday, October 22 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

This event is just for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Future Rockets! Get creative while making DIY bag charms and your own flavored drink with a full soda bar. This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow Future Rockets, whether you bring a friend or meet someone new. Together, you'll reflect and explore on what makes you, Uniquely YOU!

Open House

Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Open to families of a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student.

Bring the family and explore everything about the Community of Assumption with a self-guided or student-led tour. At Open House you’ll choose the stops that matter most to your family as your daughter finds her place at Assumption. Plan at least one hour for the Open House experience, however some families choose to stay longer depending on the stops you make along the way.

Sign-up for an arrival time between 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

High School Placement Test Prep

Saturday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Are you an eighth grader preparing to take the High School Placement Test? Join us for an engaging session where you’ll have the opportunity to meet and work directly with our experienced faculty. We’ll guide you through practice exercises and help you build confidence with test-taking strategies. This is a great chance to learn valuable tips and tricks that will help you feel prepared and ready to do your best on the test.
