Admission Process & Events

Thursday, September 10  | Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Varsity game starts at 7:00 p.m.

Cheer on Varsity volleyball as they take on St. Thomas Aquinas from Florida in the AHS gym. Arrive early through Assumption’s Main Entrance starting at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy pre-game activities and prep for the game. Future Rockets and alumnae receive a free limited edition t-shirt while supplies last.

Free admission for all! No registration required for this event.

Monday, September 21 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Learn about Rocket Athletics and our championship culture. Lisa Pinkston, Athletic Director, will begin the event with a short presentation followed by the opportunity to speak with Assumption coaches and players. This event is open to parents and their seventh, eighth, or ninth grade students.

Tuesday, September 29 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Join us for an inspiring evening designed especially for parents, where members of Assumption’s all-female leadership team will share exciting innovations in education. Discover how our renewed focus on student learning and whole person development empowers each student to find her excellence.

Learn about our new schedule and how our educators collaborate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to shift the focus from teaching to learning, ensuring every student is supported, challenged, and celebrated. We’ll also highlight how the new schedule creates intentional space for students to engage in vital aspects of our second curriculum, through leadership development, service, spiritual growth, and other formative experiences that shape character and confidence.

Future Rockets will have the opportunity to get on the field, interact with the players, and run some drills with the Rocket Flag Football team. This event is open to fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Future Rockets. We’ll also have some amazing, limited-edition giveaways for you to show your AHS spirit!

Wednesday, October 21 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

This event is just for sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Future Rockets! Get creative while making DIY bag charms and your own flavored drink with a full soda bar. This is a great opportunity to mingle with fellow Future Rockets, whether you bring a friend or meet someone new. Together, you'll reflect and explore on what makes you, Uniquely YOU!

Saturday, November 7 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Open to families of a 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student.

Bring the family and explore everything about the Community of Assumption with a self-guided or student-led tour. At Open House you’ll choose the stops that matter most to your family as your daughter finds her place at Assumption. Plan at least one hour for the Open House experience, however some families choose to stay longer depending on the stops you make along the way.

Sign-up for an arrival time between 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

Are you an eighth grader preparing to take the High School Placement Test? Join us for an engaging session where you’ll have the opportunity to meet and work directly with our experienced faculty. We’ll guide you through practice exercises and help you build confidence with test-taking strategies. This is a great chance to learn valuable tips and tricks that will help you feel prepared and ready to do your best on the test.

Wednesday, December 2 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

We invite Future Rocket eighth graders for a cozy Christmas evening. Wear your favorite holiday PJs and be merry as you spend time with friends both new and old. Get in the Christmas spirit with joyful crafts, a gift-wrapping session, music, cocoa and other holiday treats, and a special Assumption gift from us to you! We can’t wait to see you for this event on Wednesday, December 2 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Although the High School Placement Test is offered at other area Catholic high schools, taking it at Assumption is an important first step in becoming a member of Assumption’s Class of 2031.

The placement test helps Catholic secondary schools determine the most appropriate course work and academic path for meeting the needs of individual students. The placement test is only one of several tools used for academic placement at Assumption. Academic placement is an ongoing process, but this is a helpful first step. The test is free of charge. Calculators are not allowed. Get a good night’s sleep before the test and to eat a nutritious breakfast. Be sure to bring a water bottle!
