Safety and Security
COMMITTED TO THE WELL-BEING OF EVERY ROCKET.
At Assumption High School, the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors is a top priority. We are committed to providing a secure campus environment that allows our students to learn, grow, and thrive with confidence.
Our approach to safety is proactive, comprehensive, and rooted in community. Through thoughtful planning, trained personnel, and ongoing evaluation, we continuously strengthen our practices to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.
A Comprehensive Approach to Campus Safety
Our campus safety strategy includes multiple layers designed to protect and support our school community, including:
- A secure, monitored campus environment
- Trained administrators, faculty, and staff actively supervising campus throughout the school day
- Additional security presence for large events and evening activities, including off-duty law enforcement professionals.
- Clearly defined emergency protocols and response procedures
Together, these efforts create a structured, attentive environment that prioritizes visibility, responsiveness, and preparedness.
Training & Preparedness
Safety at Assumption is reinforced through regular training and practice. Each school year begins with a dedicated Safety Week, where students and staff receive instruction and participate in emergency drills, including lockdown procedures.
These practices continue throughout the year to ensure readiness and confidence in responding to any situation.
A Culture of Awareness & Responsibility
We believe that safety is a shared responsibility. Students, faculty, and families are encouraged to speak up and look out for one another. Through our “See Something, Say Something” mindset, members of our community are empowered to report concerns to a trusted adult or through our tip line.
By fostering this culture, we strengthen not only our safety systems, but also the sense of care and accountability that defines the Assumption community.
Our Commitment
Safety at Assumption goes beyond protocols and procedures—it reflects our commitment to caring for the whole person. We are dedicated to providing a secure, welcoming environment where young women feel safe, supported, and empowered to become their best selves.
