advocatesWhat We Can Do To Prevent Violence

Green Dot

Our Green Dot Program is a school-wide, research-backed initiative focused on preventing power-based personal violence (namely bullying, dating violence, and sexual assault) through bystander empowerment. We work to educate our school and community about the issues and spread the word about how we can make the world a better, nicer place through our actions. Programming is incorporated into the curriculum and school-wide enrichment activities, and enhanced by our extracurricular Green Dot Club. Students in the club  receive further education and training, and work to promote the idea that we, as bystanders, can play an important role in helping create a culture of nonviolence among our peers.

A group of Assumption students spent the weekend receiving Green Dot training which promotes bystander empowerment.
