Air + Space Academy

The only all-girls high school in Louisville to offer this experience, Assumption students have the exclusive opportunity to enroll in the Air and Space Academy at nearby Bowman Field's Hanger 7.

The aerospace program offered by National Air and Space Education Institute is designed to be hands-on application combined with a college-ready STEM curriculum that will allow students to explore a variety of fields including aeronautics technology, aerospace manufacturing technology, aerospace engineering, and unmanned aerosystem technology. Classroom content is augmented by flight training, camps, and competitions. A pilot’s license can also be earned with completion of the program.

The National Air and Space Education Institute’s goal is to open doors to interested students who are ready to approach this material with dedication and enthusiasm. By collaborating with NASEI, the sky is literally the limit for students who want to explore anything in fields ranging from engineering to design to aeronautics.
