Rocket Report
Dear Parents,
Countless hours of preparation have gone into planning a purposeful and meaningful Mission Week for your daughters. As we prepare to officially begin, Campus Minister Mary Ann Steutermann shares this reflection on why your support and, most importantly, your prayers, are an essential part of our preparation, too. This year’s 12th annual Mission Week experience is designed to be a special experience of growth and transformation. Through the varied activities students engage in, they are called to reflect upon the gifts they bring to the communities of which they are a part and how the actions they take have the potential to change the world. Based on one of the pillars of our mission statement, this year’s theme is “Food for Thought: The Path to Excellence.” We invite your participation by holding us all close in prayer: those traveling, those teaching, those serving, those learning, those reflecting, those planning and adapting plans. Our parent prayer group will not be meeting this week due to the changed schedule, but could we all at some time on Monday offer this prayer for the week:
Be with us, Merciful God, as we seek to be
Your voice, Your hands, Your love
in the world this week.
Help us be open to growth and new opportunities.
Give us the strength to always be people of Mercy.
Amen.

RPN encourages parents to keep communication lines open and talk with teens about non-traditional ways drugs and alcohol may be consumed. At the Freshman Parent Drug /Alcohol Program this year, guest speaker Mark Parrish explained that edible drugs are a dangerous and growing trend among our teens.
